HEADACHES AND MIGRAINES

SCIATICA
Sciatica is where you feel a sharp, shooting pain down your leg, this is a common symptom but we no longer call it a condition. We like to find out where the sciatica nerve is being irritated or compressed. Sometimes it originates from your discs in your spine, your vertebrae (spine bones), or tight muscles.
JAW PAIN
Jaw Pain also called temporomandibular joint (TMJ) pain can be discomforting and painful. Symptoms can also be clicking, difficulty chewing, locking and even headaches. Treatment may aim at releasing tight muscles/joints or strengthening weak areas. Did you know there are ~42 individual facial muscles in the face? SPORTS INJURIES
We work together to form an individualised treatment plan that suits you. Let’s aim to prevent muscle, joint, tendon and nerve injuries occurring in sporting activities. We also work with players with an injury or without an injury, with competitive/elite sportspeople and patients who play recreationally.
RIB PAIN
Pain with taking a deep breath in? Pain to rotate your back. Had a recent chest infection or cough. Too much golfing? We may increase the movement of the ribs and surroundings to help you breathe and move better and ultimately become pain-free.
ARTHRITIS
There are many different types of arthritis. In the majority of cases, we aim to increases mobility, decrease pain and educate you about your condition.
HIP, KNEE OR FOOT PAIN
Common injuries include arthritis, strains and sprains, heel spurs, plantar fasciitis and much more. We may decrease your pain and get you back to the activities you love!
SHOULDER OR ELBOW PAIN
Bursitis, rotator cuff strains, dislocations, repetitive strain, impingement, poor posture are commonly seen in our clinic. We may increase the movement and function of your shoulder and arm. Ultimately, returning you to what you enjoy most!
SCOLIOSIS
Scoliosis is when there are lateral curves in the spines, this can cause discomfort in muscles, joints, ligaments and even other organ functions, such as the lungs and digestive (gastrointestinal) system. Some treatments for scoliosis include; massage, manipulation, corrective exercises and in some cases braces can be recommended.
OSTEOPOROSIS
Osteoporosis is a term given when normal age changes cause weak bone. This is common in older adults, more often females. With osteoporosis treatment will generally be fairly gentle. Exercise prescription is commonly given for weight-bearing exercises to help build and strengthen the bone.
TENDON PROBLEMS
“Tendinopathy/Tendinitis/tendinosis/tenosynovitis” maybe you have heard these words from your doctor before. These things take time to heal. We like to approach this with a hands-on approach, along with a rehabilitative exercise program.
